
SMALL CREATIONS – An intensive training, which introduces participants to innovative ways of advertising in virtual space. During the project we will look at adverts as audiovisual arts products. Theoretical lectures and discussions will be followed by creative task, which will let participants to create interactive advertise for online media.
SYNTHETIC DOCUMENTARY WORKSHOP – AMII offers a chance to explore all the possibilities of documentary genre and to create short synthetic documentary. The workshop will gather historians, investigate journalists, actors and filmmakers – directors, editors, cinematographers, designers, gaffers, scriptwriters, etc. During the workshop participants will have a chance to recreate one of important Lithuanian historical events – Soviet deportation from Lithuania, partisan battle or Medininkai tragedy. Expected lecturers are Sebastian Cort (cinematographer), Neringa Medutytė (director), Jurij Grigorovič (set designer), Ričardas Matačius (editor).

RADIOLAB – In collaboration with VU radio station StartFM, AMII presents an opportunity for young artists to exploit the potential of radio broadcasting while presenting their creation on-air. The workshop consists of three parts: “Radio and music” will invite young musicians to work with music producers and to record their music with the help of professionals; “Radio and theatre” will give a chance for theatre makers to explore radio drama genre and to create a radio play; “Radio and experiment” will provide an opportunity to discover new sound art styles and to create sound poetry piece. Expected tutors: playwright Jean – Cyril Wadi (France), composer Andrius Borisevičius (Lithuania) , director Vidmantas Fijalkausko (Lithuania) , sound director Ramūnas Jasutis (Lithuania), composer and sound artist Mark IJzerman (Lithuania).

SUMMER MEDIA STUDIO – In 2016 Summer Media Studio will encourage young audiovisual arts makers to cooperate with artists of performing arts in order to create short films under the topic “Interactive dance in film”. By studying dance in film participants will have a chance to learn more about innovative and experimental camera work, analyze synthesis of camera movement and body language, choreography of the camera and the use of new technologies. The participants of Summer Media Studio will attend theoretical lectures followed by practical workshop which aims to give participants an opportunity to create their own short films. During the workshop consultations will be given by professional team of choreographers and directors. The workshop is organized in cooperation with Lithuanian Academy of music and theater.

CHILDREN’S FILM FACTORY AMII – The project will invite school-age children to learn from filmmakers of the older generation. During one-day workshop the participants will learn about filmmaking and with help of film masters and AMII team of technicians will make their own short film under the topic “Message to my unknown friend”. It is expected that young filmmakers will meet these Lithuanian film masters: Gytis Lukšas (director), Kornelijus Matuzevičius (documentary film director and cinematographer) Gražina Balandytė (actress), Gediminas Gridvainis (actor), Algirdas Tarvydas (documentary filmmaker), Algimantas Mikutėnas (cinematographers), Algimantas Apanavičius (sound director), Vytautas Žekonis (sound director), Izolda Keidošiūtė (film critic).
