Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Vilnius
The last 7th filming day the crew was filming unbelievable baroque style interior details in the church of St. Peter and Paul in Vilnius. It is the most famous Vilnius baroque church because of about 2000 stucco sculptures that are on the walls and ceiling. The church was built by hetman Mykolas Kazimieras Pacas in 17 century. Quantity of white sculptures takes breath away for the most of visitors but not so many people notice the connection between different sculptures and also their meaning. Aldona Mikulionienė- professional guide and dean of Culture faculty in Vilnius University- told us some of the stories that these sculptures hide.
The details of the church were captured with RED and Osmo cameras, dolly and steadicam. In the church we also recorded some fragments of G.F.Handel aria „Dignare“ performed a cappella by soprano Emilė Ribokaitė.
All the filming days lights were set by an experienced and famous cameraman and gaffer Algimantas Mikutėnas who also was advising us on set, Inesa Kurklietytė worked as film director, DOP- Adomas Jablonskis, D.I.T./Focus Puller- Kęstutis Serulevičius, cameramen assistant- Nojus Drąsutis, Grip- Mindaugas Docaitis, Production Sound Mixer- Ramūnas Jasutis, steadicam- Valdas Čekuolis, editor- Ričardas Matačius. AMII residents from Huntington University in Indiana (USA) fully integrated in the team. We are proud of having worked with film producer Paul Nethercott and his students: director assistant Mary Devore, associate producer Paige Olivia Schreiber, assistant sound Richan Anderson, 2nd Camera Unit- Aaron Mattson and Riley Hendrickson.
The project is partly supported by Lithuanian Council for Culture, United States Embassy in Vilnius and Huntington University in Indiana (USA).
